Auto App Volume Control ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

- Which app is currently in the foreground
- Timestamps of when apps are opened and closed
2. Volume Rules and Settings
What we collect:
- Your configured volume rules (app name, device type, time range, volume level)
- App-specific settings (manual override preferences, timer settings)
- Global app settings (service enabled status, notifications)
Storage: Stored locally in the app's database on your device. Not transmitted to any servers.
3. Device Information (via Firebase)
What we collect:
- Device model and manufacturer
- Android OS version
- App version
- Crash reports and error logs
- General analytics (app opens, feature usage)
Purpose: To identify and fix crashes, improve app performance, and understand which devices to support.
Storage: Stored on Google's Firebase servers. Retained for 60 days (Analytics) and 90 days (Crashlytics).
4. Audio Device Information
What we collect:
- Type of audio output device (speaker, wired headphones, Bluetooth)
- Connected Bluetooth device names (only when rules are created)
Storage: Stored locally in your volume rules. Not transmitted to any servers.
Information We DO NOT Collect
We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:

- ❌ Audio recordings or media files

How We Use Your Information
Local Processing
- Volume Rule Matching: App usage data is processed locally to determine which volume rule to apply
- Settings Management: Your preferences are stored locally for app functionality
- No Server Transmission: App usage patterns and volume rules never leave your device
Firebase Services
- Crash Reporting: Crash logs help us fix bugs and improve stability
- Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics help us understand which features are used
- Performance Monitoring: Helps us identify and fix performance issues
No Advertising or Tracking

No Account Required
The app does NOT require account creation. No usernames, passwords, or authentication needed. All data is local to your device.
Permissions Explained
1. Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)
- Purpose: Detect which app is currently in the foreground
- Required for: Core functionality (automatic volume adjustment)
- Sensitive: Yes - requires explicit permission
- Data stays: On your device only
2. Foreground Service
- Purpose: Run the volume control service in the background
- Required for: Continuous volume monitoring
3. Notifications (Android 13+)
- Purpose: Display service status and controls
- Required for: Android 13+ notification requirements
4. Boot Receiver
- Purpose: Restart service after device reboot (if enabled)
- Required for: Convenience (optional functionality)
5. Query All Packages (Android 11+)
- Purpose: List all installed apps for rule creation
- Sensitive: Yes - only used to show your installed apps
- Data stays: On your device only

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for app improvement.
